Default Dervish hero buddies!

hey everyone!

First off, i should point out these forums helped me heaps when starting my first dervish a week back, and now i'm hooked on the class. My question: Which hero classes work best with Dervishes, and which three hero builds would synergize the best with me doing melandru reaper build thingy?

(Note: too much coffee)

Cheers!

I use normally this set:

D/Mo / This is me awww
N/Me / Olias as hexer
Mo / Tahlkora
W / Koss OR E / Zhed

If i use Zhed, then olias have some interrupts. Koss have normally Dwarven Battle Stance and it is enough

consider an orders necro and/or a bonder monk. all those extra enchantments flying around will give you lots of extra energy and synergize well with some of your derv skills.

Sabway > PvE

I recommend using the builds posted in the first reply.

Im hesitant to suggests Sab's builds, impressive though they may be. With everyone using them to breeze through HM, the Nerf-Hammer is looming ominously.

Also, Sabs builds use weapon spells mostly, rather than the enchantments which would favour a dervish player.
Consequently, I'd suggest including a Dervish Order Hero (this is the build my Melonni uses):
[card]Order Of Pain[/card][card]Dark Fury[/card][card]Arcane Zeal[/card][card]Vow Of Piety[/card][card]Watchful Intervention[/card][card]Faithful Intervention[/card][card]Mystic Healing[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card] or [card]Imbue Health[/card]
(set her to Avoid Combat, and equip with a Blood Staff)

Maybe combine with the minion maker from Sabs builds (because of the use of Aegis):
[card]Jagged Bones[/card][card]Animate Bone Minions[/card][card]Death Nova[/card][card]Blood Of The Master[/card][card]Protective Spirit[/card][card]Aegis[/card][card]Signet Of Lost Souls[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card]

After that, I usually use a Paragon Hero (I imagine a Motivation based hero using chants which benefit casters would be useful combined with some attack power boosting shouts from leadership.)

I've always found the triple necro helps, check for the builds on wiki under triple Nerco. Hope that helps you out.

You can run sabway and not use enchants at all and be fine, its actually almost more beneficial.... Just put on the inscriptions that give you +10 armor while not enchanted and take a healer monk not prot, and you (almost) always have the bonus armor as long as you don't run enchants in your build.

that's just silly, not having any prot in HM. you can reduce more damage through protting than you can heal with a straight healing build.

QFMFT.

Successful PvE builds take into account the stupidity of AI. Prot = win.

If you are going to use sabway, you may as well use discordway which is more powerful.

It also helps if you are spamming conditions.

I've tried using that arugement before, not to much effect. TBH if I was using sabway or discord I probably wouldn't be too worried about nerfing. This is more my opinion, but aside from a change to soul reaping every now and then, necros aren't really nerfed that often as a class compared to the other classes. I also can't remember Anet doing nerfs before because of heroes either.
